In the year 2013 the party is on, and the theme of this year's convention is festivities. Especially the Finnish roleplaying scene has a lot of cause for celebration; many accomplishments, both local and international, have been made, for example The Nordic Larp book (Montola&Stenros 2010) and Stalker the Scifi Roleplaying game (Burger Games 2008). The festive spirit is also featured in the outlook, games and programs of Ropecon.

Guests of Honour for this year have been now confirmed, and we're proud to present: Kevin Wilson (USA) and D. Vincent Baker.

Kevin Wilson is the man behind popular board games such as Arkham Horror (2005) and the Game of Thrones boardgame (first edition, 2003). Wilson has a long-standing reputation as a successful game designer, and works for such publishers as FFG.

D. Vincent Baker is one of the most known game designers from the roleplaying indie movement and the founder of Lumpley Games publishing. His achievements include such projects as the award-winning Dogs in the Vineyard (2004) and Apocalypse World (2010). His latest project is Mobile Frame Zero, a strategy-themed roleplaying game played with LEGOs.
